New tribe started for Agnostics: tribes.tribe.net/agnosticsonly

Being certain is stupid, whereas exercising doubt and critical thinking is more intelligent. Agnosticism is simply about being skeptical. Skeptical Atheists are welcome, and we ask that all people be considerate and polite when posting. Labels matter little, it's what's going on between the ears that counts.

True skeptics are skeptical of skeptics, skepticism, and him/herself.

Admitting that you may be wrong shows strength of character. We're only human. The only people who don't make mistakes aren't doing anything at all.

Agnostics may have suspicions about social/scientific/spiritual concepts having more or less validity, but our trick is discussing such topics without an emotional investment in any particular outcome.

So, with an open mind, a warm heart, and a colorful sense of humor, we extend our invitation to anyone inclined towards the Agnostic point of view.

Being certain is stupid, whereas exercising doubt and critical thinking is more intelligent.

You know.. you ask for other to be polite and considerate on this tribe you posted yet.. right off the get go.. you start insulting ppl.. Why is that..

Believing in something is not stupid.. it can be incredibly empowering if the person who believes it enough.

Exercising doubt can cause, in some ppl, not all ppl.. but some to become indecisive..

EVERONE is entitled to their opinions and beliefs.. To say one is better, stupid or other manner of judgement is, in my opinion, wrong..

If you would like to post new tribes on this one.. then feel free to do so.. however dont post something that is challenging to someones beliefs.. It creates disharmony within this tribe and wont be tolerated..

We strive to maintain courtesy, and consideration on this tribe..

    Thank you..

"Labels matter little, it's what's going on between the ears that counts."

I'm pretty skeptical that the spirit resides there...

"True skeptics are skeptical of skeptics, skepticism, and him/herself. "

I went to a skeptic meeting once locally, it was quite entertaining.
It was like a religious group... re-enforcing their belief systems.

It's hard to remove your filters to be truly open to what is happening.
It's all filtered by your experiences, perceptions and beliefs.

There was never an issue with your New tribe..simply the presentation about calling/or insuating someone is stupid.. Thats what I have an issue with .

And to some ppl labels matter alot.. to others labels matter little..

The main focus on this tribe is consideration, courtesy, and respect.
